Neighborhood Night Out – October 25

Join us at the pool from 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, October 25 for our annual Neighborhood Night Out event.  We’ll have live music from Manteca Beat as well as pizza, a moonwalk, crafts for the kids, and door prizes. An Austin Fire Department truck will also be on hand from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Don’t miss the fun!

Reminder – Please Pick Up Mail Promptly

wire-bound-pad.jpg Neighbors – Our postal carrier, Willie, brought an issue to my attention recently. He asked me to request that everyone pick up their mail/packages promptly from the boxes. When mail is not picked up, it makes it difficult for him to continue delivery to a full box. Also, he mentioned that the mail boxes are not meant to be “safety deposit boxes” — that is, they are not secure enough for long term storage of mail. Please ask the post office to hold your mail if you are planning to be away from home.

Music at the Pool – October 4

The Music at the Pool event has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 4 from 7 pm to 9 pm!  We’ll have a chance to enjoy Latin jazz courtesy of Steve Haskin and Paul Maine. Light refreshments will be served.  Don’t miss this chance to meet your neighbors and enjoy some great music!

4th of July Party Recap

The neighborhood gathered for a terrific time last Friday, July 4. The party started at 11 am with great live music from Manteca Beat which was enjoyed throughout the event. Neighbors were able to participate in 3 door prize drawings during the party. The children also loved being part of the watermelon relays and the always-popular coin dives. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks along with delicious slices of watermelon. Many thanks to Paul Maine for organizing the event along with help from Sue Hoke, Carol and Marty Robbins, Maria and Alan Shelby, Madalaine Kerchem, and Dan Frasier.
