Make sure to check out our newly released Scofield Farms promotional video, now available here. The video is the result of several months of planning and preparation. We hope that it will be a helpful resource to both current and prospective residents alike. Many thanks to Scofield resident Dan Grosser for all his work in making this possible – it’s much appreciated! We welcome your comments and suggestions for further productions —

www.AustinDistrict7.org is a news and opinion hub set up to cover issues and candidates in Austin’s new City Council district 7 (Scofield Farms is a part of this district). The unpaid editors are not affiliated with a candidate or party, and are residents of District 7. The editorial board includes neighborhood leaders from throughout the district, including Walnut Crossing, Walnut Creek, Gracywoods, North Shoal Creek and Brentwood. The site mixes news and essays, and respects multiple points of view.
All the main District 7 council candidates are following AustinDistrict7.org to learn more about the district, its issues and priorities. This site and its distribution can be a great tool to communicate your community’s priorities to our future City Council representative. You can subscribe to receive posted articles by email by emailing editor@austindistrict7.org with ‘Subscribe’ in the subject. You can also submit essays or suggestions to the same address.

2014 Park Day – March 22
Please mark your calendars for our Spring Scofield Farms Park Beautification Project scheduled for Saturday, March 22nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm. This year, with the help of volunteers like you and your family, our projects will include trash pickup, removing limbs and brush from along trails, painting the bridge, and clearing invasive plants like China Berry trees.
You can bring your own gloves and water bottle if you like. Otherwise gloves and tools will be provided. More information will be coming in the days leading up to this event.
This is a good time to get outdoors, get to know the park better, and meet your neighbors in the process. Please come out, enjoy the outdoors, and help us keep our park looking great!
For more information, contact Dan Frasier.
