Neighbors – Our postal carrier, Willie, brought an issue to my attention recently. He asked me to request that everyone pickup their mail/packages promptly from the boxes. When mail is not pickedup, it makes it difficult for him to continue delivery to a full box. Also, he mentioned that the mail boxes are not meant to be “safety deposit boxes” — that is, they are not secure enough for long term storage of mail. Please ask the post office to hold your mail if you are planning to be away from home.
