Welcome to Scofield Farms.  This community of 574 homes was first developed in the early 1990s and has grown during the subsequent decades to become the vibrant community it is today.

Scofield Farms is conveniently located off Parmer Lane and Metric Boulevard in North Austin between I-35 and Mopac Expressway.  The community is made up of three major sections – the original section located on the east side of Metric Boulevard just north of Parmer Lane, The Park at Scofield, located on the east side of Metric at Chasewood Drive, and Withers Way, located on the west side of Metric.

Scofield Farms is located within the Pflugerville Independent School District.  Parmer Lane Elementary, Westview Middle School, and Connally High School are all situated in close proximity to the neighborhood.

As a resident of Scofield Farms, you can take advantage of numerous amenities.  The pool and playground are popular gathering spots.  They are located adjacent to each other at 12521 Scofield Farms Drive, near the intersection of Scofield Farms Drive and Dapplegrey Lane.  The pool is open for use from April to October and is the center of many community gatherings during the year.  Please remember that you will need a pool card to access the pool facilities.

The playground, which was completely updated in the summer of 2012, is open year round.  Children of all ages enjoy this facility and their parents appreciate the shade cover as well as the fencing to help little ones stay safe.  For your convenience, the pool restrooms are also open year round.  Pool cards are required to access the restrooms.

Scofield Farms is also privileged to have a City of Austin park within its borders.  Scofield Farms Park is a 13 acre park which contains a walking trail, picnic tables, covered pavilion, baseball field, and sand volleyball court, as well as lots of open green space to enjoy!

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet and socialize with neighbors during the yearly social events in Scofield Farms.  Recent events have included the Easter egg hunt, pool opening party, reptile show, puppet show, movie in the park, Fourth of July party, holiday hayride, and frequent live music performances.  We also hold at least one community garage sale every year.

With so much to do and see in Scofield Farms, how do you keep it all straight?  Our community website, scofieldfarms.org, is your one central source for community information.   The scofieldfarms.org website is the official communication channel of the Scofield Residential Owners Association.   Along with minutes from our board of directors meetings and annual meetings, here you can find community news and events, a community calendar, links to helpful resources, important documents and forms, as well as a members-only discussion forum.  You can also sign up for neighborhood email updates via the website, ensuring that you will be first to hear the latest news while saving money on paper and stamps!

When you buy a home in Scofield Farms, you become a member of the Scofield Residential Owners Association, or “Scofield ROA”.  The Scofield ROA is governed by a 5 member Board of Directors, elected by ROA members each year at the annual meeting, usually held in early May.  Each director serves for a 3 year term.  The Board meets every 2 months to discuss and vote on neighborhood business, and residents are always welcome!

In addition to the Board of Directors, the ROA also consists of several committees including the Park Committee, Welcoming Committee, Pool Committee, and Architectural Control Committee.  The Architectural Control Committee, or “ACC” for short, consists of 5 members of the community who are tasked with reviewing proposed additions and changes to homes and landscaping.  The ACC plays an important role in maintaining standards and property values in Scofield Farms.

Like many homeowners’ associations, the Scofield ROA employs the services of a property management company to help manage its day-to-day affairs.  We have been working with Certified Management of Austin since 2010.  CMA is a local, family-owned business located within easy driving distance of Scofield Farms on Great Hills Trail.  You can reach them by phone or email any time of the day or night with any HOA-related questions.

Whether you’re brand-new to the neighborhood or a long-time resident, we wish you many happy and prosperous years as part of our community!  The door is always open to your ideas, questions, or comments, and we hope to hear from you very soon.
